Changes to the definition of 'aged' for Aged Parent Visas as of 1st July 2017.

Prior to 1st July 2017 the age at which an individual was considered 'Aged' was 65. As of the 1st July 2017 the age at which men and women will be considered 'Aged' will increase by 6 months every 2 years until it reaches 67 on the 1st of July, 2023.
Therefore, as of 1st July 2017 applicants for the 'Aged' Parent visa options who were born between 1 July 1952 and 31 December 1953 will need to be at least 65 years and 6 months old prior to application.
Assuming no changes to this visa over time. As of 1st July 2019 applicants for the 'Aged' Parent visa options who were born between 1 January 1954 to 30 June 1955 would need to be at least 66 years of age prior to application.
